Aberchalder Lodge is a comfortable, spacious 19th Century traditional Shooting Lodge.  It stands on a hillside 5 miles south of Loch Ness commanding sweeping views in every direction across Loch Oich, the River Oich and Thomas Telford's Caledonian Canal to the hills of the Glengarry Forest.

The Lodge is a great venue for groups with a very large modern fitted kitchen with breakfast area, five very large bedrooms and four bathrooms Dining-room, drawing room and a spacious hall and landing.  The large front lawn boasts magnificent views of the river, loch and hills beyond.

To the rear the Estate lands stretch for four miles along the south side of Loch Oich. Aberchalder Estate encompasses some 16,000 acres of beautiful woodlands, mountains, lochs and rivers, along the south side of Loch Oich in the heart of 'The Great Glen' - that 65-mile long rift-valley that cuts across Scotland from Inverness in the north-east to Fort William on the west.

A great location for fishermen, walkers, 'Nessie' watchers and for those wishing to drive or train along 'The Road to the Isles' and/or explore the 'Monarch of the Glen' country. The prestigious Glengarry Castle Hotel is within the confines of the Estate - as are the ruins of ancient Glengarry Castle where Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed en route to Culloden.

There is salmon and trout fishing, and stalking, available on the Estate in Season, wonderful walking with the chance to espy red and roe-deer, pine martens, golden eagles and grouse.
A great Highland Home!
