This is a much loved country house in a wonderful location with spectacular views of majestic Ben Lomond across beautiful Loch Ard. The garden is a delight with sweeping lawns and an enchanting burn running down through it to the loch. At the foot of the garden and just across the road is a private shingle beach – you are welcome to bring your own rowing boat or canoe.
The house itself is exceedingly welcoming and spacious with a large and comfortably furnished drawing room which features a bay window which looks across the waterfall to the loch and the Ben. A warm ambience is assured by three log fires. You will also benefit from a very high proportion of bedrooms with en suite facilities and loch views.
The elegant dining room seats up to 20. In addition there is a Morning Room with TV, a large Games Room with Pool Table and an open fire room and conservatory. The well equipped breakfasting kitchen has both Aga and gas cookers
The area has an abundance of outdoor activities to enjoy from sailing to clay pigeon shooting. Boats can be hired close by. In the immediate vicinity there is also quad biking, fishing, golf and of course wonderful walking in the Trossachs and Loch Lomond.

The Glorious Lochs of the Trossachs - Lochs Lomond, Katrine, Achray, Venacher, Drunkie and, of course, Loch Ard.

SS Sir Walter Scott -
The wonderful old steamship “Sir Walter Scott”, plying the waters of the outstandingly beautiful Loch Katrine as she has now being doing for over 100 years.
Stirling Castle -
Standing on 250 feet of rock, the castle has dominated much of Scotland's vivid history. It is considered by many to be Scotland's grandest castle and was home to many generations of the Scottish Royal Family - Mary Queen of Scots was crowned here. The architecture around the castle is superb.
The Wallace Monument -
The monument takes you back some 700 years to the days of Scotland's fight for independence and tells the story of William Wallace (known as "Braveheart" in the recent film).
The 220 foot tower offers fantastic views and it is here that you can see his enormous two handed sword!
The Falkirk Wheel -
This is the only rotating boat lift in the world and was opened by the Queen in May 2002.
At 1,300 tonnes and a height of 35 metres, this extraordinary feat of modern engineering is unique and is very well worth a visit.
Glengoyne Distillery -
The famous Glengoyne Distillery is within easy driving distance. Come and see how whisky is made in Scotland's most southerly malt whisky distillery- and, equally importantly, taste some of this award winning whisky for yourself!
