Scotland produces an abundance of fresh, natural food. From the deep North Atlantic to the crystal waters of remote west coast   sea lochs there are scallops, langoustine, mussels, oysters and crab. In the rivers and hill lochs, salmon and trout a plenty!

Scottish Meats Game and Poultry
The mountains and forests of the Highlands provide us with venison, grouse, pheasant and partridge. From the historic home of Aberdeen-Angus beef and the fertile plains of the east, there are rich meats, sun-ripened grains, seasonal vegetables and succulent soft fruits. Then, of course, there is whisky: pure barley, soft water, aromatic peat – the simple components of one of the world's most complex and distinctive drinks.

In the warm and congenial atmosphere of your private house you will enjoy the best of Scottish hospitality. An aperitif (perhaps a fine malt whisky) in front of the roaring log fire followed by a sumptuous four course dinner around a large polished-wood dining table.
Each day of your stay you will be served the best home-produced food and have the opportunity to experience the diverse flavours and textures of Scottish cuisine. We use only fresh, seasonal ingredients of the highest possible quality and our professional cooks prepare your food with the greatest care, imagination and flair.

Specially prepared cuisine
Every vacation with Highland Lodges is fully-catered. This includes a full Scottish or Continental breakfast, light lunch, 4 course dinner and all snacks and soft drinks. You will require nothing but a love of good food and of course a hearty appetite!

We will discuss with you any dietary requirements you or members of your party may have. Menus can accommodate individual tastes.

Specially Selected Wines
We can complement your meals with a carefully selected range of Champagne, red, white, rose and dessert wines, all carefully selected by ourselves and our experienced wine suppliers. You can also request your own favourite tipple and we will try to get that for you. We will offer you wine and spirits direct from our suppliers at cost AND offer Sale or Return.

TM Roberston Wine Cellars provide Highland Lodges with wine. As well as compiling our wine list, they can provide a vast amount of wines of your choice. An independent company that proudly bears the founder’s name, from the 1930’s wine and spirit trade in Edinburgh, but which now makes up part of the quietly powerful independent Berkmann Wine Cellars Group.
